Former Oregon Zoo Owner Sentenced To More Than 7 Years In Prison
 

The former owner of the now-closed West Coast Game Park Safari in Bandon, Oregon, has been sentenced to seven years and six months in prison following convictions involving severe animal neglect and drug offenses.

Brian Tenney, 54, previously owned the roadside zoo, where authorities documented neglect involving more than 40 animals.

On September 8, 2026, Coos County Circuit Judge Andrew E. Combs sentenced Tenney to seven years and six months in prison under a plea agreement.

Tenney was also ordered to pay $340,922.61 in restitution and was prohibited from possessing or living with domestic animals. Following his felony conviction, he is additionally prohibited from possessing numerous classes of animals for 15 years.
